When the iPhone was launched in mid-2007, it was a watershed in the history of cellular phones. In fact, all of Apple’s 1,800 stores in the US had sold out within the first 24 hours.

They claim to have been rejected by the hosting site because it won't host jailbreaking tools. They also appear to be having computer trouble, No of this is looking good for them.

Hopefully they will meet their self imposed Ha1lday deadline and have everything released by 20:00 hours PST. If not Ha1lday may be better called Fa1lday.

Now it has gone again. What is Twitter up to? Or is this just another server / software problem they are having?

Also if you get that Cydia error, complaining it can find its version, then, if you can, can you please send me a screen shot of it via the Contact page?

Damn I didn't realise we were so far in to the 3.1 release that 3.2 was coming soon but I gather there will be a beta testing cycle before that release. We are more likely to see a 3.1.x point release before 3.2.

At least we can hope that we get the jailbreaking tools before Apple gets to put the bar up another notch. They are going to have to put some critical features into the next major firmware release or there will be a lot fewer takers next time around.

Anyway it is great to see the Devs starting to mend the very small rift that developed over the last few hours. We need them working on the tools not fighting between themselves.

"greenpois0n is still weeks away. weeks > 3.2"

Meaning: greenpois0n is still weeks away. "Weeks" is longer than it'll take Apple to bring out firmware version 3.2. This means the exploit will be patched before greenpois0n is released.

In my opinion, it was a terrible move on chronic's side to post the exploit. Sort of like saying, "if I'm not winning this race, I'll ruin the game for everyone". Major rep points lost there.

I have found a third jailbreak developer that claims to have a Windows version of the PwnageTool coming on October 12.

I will post about this as soon as I have researched the new information.

I have a couple of methods that should allow you and your other users to logon to your Squarespace site using secure HTTPS instead of the current HTTP. This if this works generaly it will not depend on your package having SSL included.

I need to see if these methods will work for other Squarespace users as it may be possible my account has been granted some special permissions not available to all on Squarespace accounts.
