Blackra1n Is Released But No Ha1lDay Yet
@geohot has released Blackra1n (sans iPod Touch 3G for the moment) it handles all other models of the iPhone and will jailbreak all versions of the OS including the just released 3.1.2.
We are still waiting on @appuloha1l to release their tools and there is a lot to report on the last day or two but for now get wet with Blackra1n!
It can be downloaded from this link Blackra1n Download (note click on the Windows logo). Also it is a Windows on tool at this time and do not update to 3.1.2 if you wish to maintain your unlocking capabilities.
We owe @geohot a debt of gratitude for this great tool.

Don't Install Cydia And Icy Together
If you use the Blackra1n to install both Cydia and Icy together you may find Cydia complaining with a big red warning that it can't determine its version. If you get this error open Blackra1n again and reinstall Cydia and you should find the problem resolved.
Let me know in the comments how you went with Blackra1n and if this fix works for you or any other problems you see while using Blackra1in.
Appuloha1l Spooked By BlackRa1nAnd Has Tried To Release Their Tools Earlier Than Promised
After begging their Twitter followers to make #appuloha1l trend before they would release and then actually trending, their site is yet to show any signs of their as yet mythical tools.
Given the rudeness of their earlier Tweets taunting @geohot and making ever grander claims to superiority, they could be in for some pain if they can't meet their self imposed deadline or their tools don't come up to scratch.
Twitter Appears To Have Pulled #blackra1n From The Trends
After reaching first place on the Twitter trends #blackra1n has mysteriously disappeared. Did Twitter manually pull it? If so what other alterations does Twitter make to their trends list? Can trends be bought?
I wonder if this is an issue for Twitter users to consider.

Well not sure what happened to the @blackra1n trend but it's back again for now.
Now it has gone again. What is Twitter up to? Or is this just another server / software problem they are having?
Also if you get that Cydia error, complaining it can find its version, then, if you can, can you please send me a screen shot of it via the Contact page?
Still no release or videos for @appuloha1l (it's now 14:47 hours PST).
They claim to have been rejected by the hosting site because it won't host jailbreaking tools. They also appear to be having computer trouble, No of this is looking good for them.
Hopefully they will meet their self imposed Ha1lday deadline and have everything released by 20:00 hours PST. If not Ha1lday may be better called Fa1lday.
